Skip to content Maryland Center for Legal Assistance (MCLA) Home Employment Opportunities Pro Bono Upcoming Webinars Maryland Center for Legal Assistance (MCLA) A wholly-owned subsidiary of Maryland Legal Aid, the Maryland Center for Legal Assistance does not receive funds from the Legal Services Corporation. Through a contract with the Administrative Office of the Courts, MCLA operates the District Court Help Resource Centers in Baltimore City, Glen Burnie, Upper Marlboro, and Salisbury and the Maryland Courts Help Centers in Annapolis and Frederick. The Help Centers deal with a wide range of civil legal matters, including landlord-tenant, consumer matters such as debt collection and credit card cases, child support, and criminal record expungements to remove barriers to obtaining housing, employment, and child custody. All visitors will be required to properly wear a face mask or face covering while in our offices. New procedures are in place that will likely slow down the process
